Learn how to stop running at 33% and consistently operate at double your internal battery charge.
Imagine what you could do in your day if you had double your internal battery charge. Think about how it would feel if you had more energy, cognitive agility and stamina throughout the day. It is possible. I found out how and wanted to share the health.
I went to a wellness professional who told me, “Every day you wake up and your battery is at 33%. You push yourself to the limits of time by working across global time zones and, at the end of the work day, you’ve drained your charge.” For those of you who find yourself completely physically collapsed at the end of the day, and unable to comprehend how you still have 50 unanswered emails and have not one brain cell left to answer them…read on.
At the time, I was a small business owner running global advertising and communications campaigns for live entertainment. As my stress got more unmanageable, I kept hiring more people to help me, but that added to my workload more than it took off.
I realized I needed help from someone in the wellness field and went to a friend who runs a meditation school in London, England. She had known me for more than 10 years, and had seen the arc of my career, as well as the difference between me being an employee in London versus me being a small business owner in the U.S. She told me something so precise - that I was running on a 33% battery charge. I remember how that made me sit up and pay attention because it explained my energy depletion. She said, “The way you are moving, you are using all your battery life and now you aren’t able to recharge or even get back up to 33%. If you keep on going, that number will drop every day, every week. You have to stop and prioritize - rest and reset.”
That visual for me was everything.
I was killing my own charge and hadn’t recognized that it had been so low, and for so long. I wondered when it had started to drain, and wished there was an app to flag my own personal battery dipping below 50%. That would’ve saved my mind and body from years of unnecessary stress.
Don’t be a 33%’er.

If you answered “yes” to even four of these, amazing. If you answered no to the majority of these, you might soon be joining the 33% club. Please don’t, it’s not a desirable club. The price for admittance is depletion. Let’s get you in to the 70% club; they are way more fun to be around.
Our absolute focus and dedication to our careers has an inverse relationship with our health. In order to protect ourselves and our longevity, we need to curate daily “rest and reset” actions.

You have a mindset for success, and I would like to invite you to have a Wellness Mindset, which is the attitude you hold about prioritizing wellness.
If you led a life with a Wellness Mindset, what would that feel like?
It might have a positive influence on how you show up for your team, or for your family. If you are powered, healthy and balanced, then just by example, that would be inspiring for anyone engaging with you.
There is no more time in a day, but there is a way to control your time. This includes how you spend it, and how you take time for yourself to protect the inner and outer workings of your being. Don’t trade your health for work - in the end work wins and you lose. There is a saying in health:
“If you don’t protect your wellness, you will be forced to deal with an illness.”
As a health practitioner, I am extremely concerned about burnout and its long-term physical and emotional erosion on great souls. Lifestyle habits are your choice, and they aren’t terribly hard; they just need to be part of your daily routine. Trust me, in just a few months, you will feel your mind and body working in absolute sync again. Find what works for you, what gives you energy, and what gives you extended battery life.
Total wellness is your key to a stable and full charge.
